SeaWeaver studios offers handcrafted baskets, woven art and seasonal herbal products. All are made from plants, algae, fungi and lichen that are respectfully gathered from my home among the Salish Sea; home of moss laden forests, island speckled seas, mountain meadows and cascading rivers.
Inspired and guided by the seasonal variability of plants makes each weaving unique, and the herbal products more attuned to seasonal health. Tending, harvesting and processing the plants by hand make this a slow and intentional craft. When harvesting plants, having knowledge of their life cycles, physiology and connections to the entire web is important for the sustainably and health of the entire ecosystem. Understanding and honoring reciprocity, giving back and being grateful for all the earth provides.
